Property Description

Teaghlach is the Gaelic word for family and this home will suit a wide range of families looking to establish themselves in this very picturesque village, which is surrounded by lush, open countryside.
Built circa. 10 years ago, this contemporary property offers a flexible layout of accommodation over two levels, with the main living space being positioned on the upper floor, from where access is provided out to a timber deck and garden areas.
There are two loft storage areas, one of which may have potential to further expand the living space, subject to the necessary planning permissions. The property is situated within generous gardens, which have lawn, patio and deck areas. The home is heated by underfloor heating, which is driven by an air source heat pump. There is double glazing, under floor heating, served by an air source heat pump and BT fibre broadband is available.

The property has fine views out to the Fintry Hills and being located on Main Street, it is well positioned for access to all the village amenities, including the local village primary school, with secondary provision being in the neighbouring town of Balfron. Balfron High School is currently ranked within the top 25 State schools in Scotland and a bus service is provided from the village for the pupils.

Local Area
Fintry sits at the foothills of the Fintry Hills and the Campsie Fells. It is approximately five miles east of Killearn and Balfron and is one of the first communities in Scotland moving towards energy self-sufficiency through the Fintry Development Trust, a charitable enterprise established to reduce energy consumption within the village. The village has a strong sense of community and an excellent local primary school, with secondary provision at Balfron High School. There is a sports centre, providing a gym, bowling, rugby, squash and other sports, with bar and small shop. The Endrick Water runs through its centre and the surrounding countryside, where local walks can be enjoyed, is stunning. Despite the tranquillity of its rural idyll, the city of Glasgow and Edinburgh can be reached within 40 minutes and an hour, respectively, by car and Stirling, within half an hour.
