Corum are delighted to officially be on board as a Corporate Partner of Whiteleys Retreat. A truly fantastic charity that provides free therapeutic short breaks for children, young people, and their families with cancer and life-altering illnesses.
Whiteleys Retreat also has a personal importance to Corum, and, in particular, for Managing Director Bruce Patterson and his family. His youngest son Marc has been bravely fighting a battle with Leukaemia, and describing the importance of supporting the work of the charity, Bruce said:
‘As a family, we are acutely aware of the challenges cancer brings and the unique perspective it lends to daily life as Marc continues his fight against Leukaemia.
We are eternally grateful for the support we have had from the wider local community and especially Whiteleys which gives families affected the opportunity to escape from those incredible challenges and spend quality time with loved ones.
The team at Whiteleys require a specific set of people skills to be able to provide emotional and practical support in the most difficult of circumstances. They are truly special people, and we are proud to be able to support them.’
