Corum Property: Here to help you move safely

On the advice of the Scottish Government, Corum are delighted to announce that all of our branches will be reopening from Monday, 29th of June.

Since our inception in 2003, we have been fully committed to giving all of our clients; buyers, sellers and general enquirers a 7 day a week service. The ongoing pandemic has however imparted a need for a revised and responsible approach to this in order to minimise exposure for both out staff and clientele.

Demand for service has been such that we are pleased to confirm we will be re-introducing late night opening until 8pm on Wednesdays & Thursdays from week beginning 6/7/20. We will continue to show properties for sales 7 days a week by appointment and all activities, whether in or out-with our office will be conducted in adherence with the most up-to-date social distancing and health & safety advice. Please feel free to contact your local branch any day of the week and a member of our team will get back to you.

We are fully appreciative of the ongoing challenges, and our paramount concern is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, clients and the wider public. As such, we have put together a number of policies and procedures that we will be introducing to our business operation.

We have outlined our policies below and if should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

1 – Keeping You Safe

For Corum, the health and wellbeing of our staff, our clients and our wider communities is paramount, and we are fully committed to ensuring your safety. As such, we will be implementing the following policies across all of our branches;

  • We ask that you kindly wear a face mask or covering when visiting one of our branches in person
  • Daily temperature testing for all staff prior to starting their shift
  • All work stations to have readily available hand sanitiser
  • Use of industry standard PPE equipment were appropriate
  • No multiple usage of desks & telephones
  • Regular cleaning and sanitisation of surfaces and touch points particularly door handles
  • Clear floor markings to respect ‘social distancing’
  • We are consciously aiming to be as paperless in our operation as possible
  • Until further notice, brochures will only be available in digital format and no physical printed brochures will be processed

We will do everything in our power to work collaboratively with you to ensure we accommodate all your needs whilst respecting current health & safety guidelines. We will also respectfully ask that clients do not interact with us in person if exhibiting health symptoms and that you wear a facial covering and gloves if viewing any of our clients homes.

As such, we are implementing video conference facilities, virtual viewings and a host of new technologies to make interacting with our team and the viewing of properties as accessible as possible to all, regardless of challenge or circumstance. If you have any specific requirements or concerns please do not hesitate to contact your local branch Partner who will be more than happy to chat with you.

2 – Helping You Move

Thank you for your patience, understanding and support in these challenging times which thankfully appear to be improving.  The resounding sentiment coming from the data we hold is extremely positive and we eagerly anticipate being able to return to work and help you with your next home move.

We’re delighted to report that the market remains buoyant and in a strong place, despite the adversity it has faced. Of the sales agreed prior to lockdown, less than 10% have dissipated, and behind the scenes during lockdown we have dozens of new properties lined up to go to market once we have the green light to do so.

Demand to buy remains extremely high and the number of people signing up to our database for information on new properties has swelled over the last eight weeks. The increase in new buyers coming to the fore, coupled with the large influx of new listings set to go live across all of our branches, gives us increased scope to match buyers with their perfect home.

With the recent spell of good weather gardens are looking in their  prime and with ‘staycationing’ and renewed focus on outdoor space being the order of the day this is an opportune time to take advantage and put your home on the market.

The reflections on recent times have inferred more far reaching concerns and considerations, resulting in real scrutiny on how and where we would all like to live, and there is a genuine willingness from prospective buyers to explore options so allow us to discuss this with you by whatever your preferred means of communication is at this time.

Whether you are looking to buy, sell or simply wish to have a chat about your position, we are on hand and more than happy to guide you on the next step of life’s journey.

3 – Supporting Our NHS

The last few months have shone a light on true heroes within our communities, those who, in the face of adversity, have stepped up and bore the brunt of our needs at such a challenging time. None more so than the heroes of our NHS who have worked tirelessly to ensure life can, literally, carry on.

As a business, and as individual, we owe a great debt of gratitude to the work carried out by the NHS, Care workers and other key front line workers who have kept the wheels turning.

Corum will hereby commit to donating 10% of our pre-tax profits for 2020/21 to NHS charities. We will also seek to engage with our neighbours in local communities to identify those heroes who went above and beyond, making sure they get the credit and thanks they deserve through our Local Heroes Programme which will be announcing more information on in due course.
