Shawlands: Q1 in Numbers

It is great to see the local Southside property market starting to accelerate ahead of the traditionally busy Spring period.

Despite some economic forecasts, the Scottish property market has been in fine form, and across all of our nine branches, we are seeing strong results.

Today we take a quick look at some numbers from our Shawlands branch as they continue the fine form of last year.

With nearly £20m worth of property listed, the highest average fee of any agent in the area and 25 closing dates, things have been busy for the southside branch.

So far this year, the team in Shawlands have fielded over 1,500 enquiries from buyers looking to purchase in the local area.

900 Viewings

Enquiries are one thing; converting them into viewings is another, and the branch have ushered over 900 prospective buyers through the doors in the first three months of the year. That conversion ratio of enquiries to viewers is incredibly high for this time of year, which bodes well for the upcoming Spring market.

25 Closing Dates

We have been thrilled to see such a high volume of sales through the first quarter of the year and 25 of our clients have benefitted from multi-offer closing dates.

£388k Average Listing

One of the strongest highlights of the year so far is the total value of properties listed, with our Shawlands office introducing well over £17,000,000 of listings to the market, with an average asking price of £388,000 – by far the highest of any major agent in their area.
