  • Property Description
Ballochmyle House is a ‘B' listed mansion house designed by Robert Adam and completed around 1760. The property was for many years used as a hospital until work began in 2009 to convert it into luxury apartments. Ballochmyle Estate is located close to the quiet town of Mauchline and surrounded by rolling Ayrshire farmland and Ballochmyle Golf Club.

Number 7 is a generous and executive first floor apartment, extending to around 1500 square feet and occupying the majority of the original stairwell and former nurse’s recreational room. This fantastic apartment has been tastefully decorated and furnished to the highest standard throughout, with meticulous care and attention given to all of the interior design elements that compliment the wealth of living space on offer. The on-the-level accommodation is accessed via a lift from the ground floor and has a range of quality floor coverings, Oak doors, double glazing, underfloor heating, luxury sanitary ware and ample storage throughout. There is an en suite shower room in the main master bedroom and a stunning fireplace in the lounge, dating back to 1780 and similar to a fireplace featured in Dumfries House, sourced from the Glasgow Architectural Salvage and paired with a period Victorian mirror.

In more detail, the internal accommodation extends to a welcoming hallway with two storage cupboards, an incredible bay-windowed lounge with a feature fireplace, an open plan luxury fitted kitchen to a breakfasting/ dining area, a quality bathroom suite, a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and a master bedroom, with three feature windows, a dressing area and an en suite shower room.

Externally there is ample residents parking and the extensive gardens are predominantly laid to lawn with seating areas, mature trees and surrounded by woodland. In addition there is a communal storage shed in the garden grounds.
